English Language Unit 2 - How to revise
- Look through your yellow book at the class notes we made
- Revise language devices and make sure you can use them in your own writing
- Revise the different rules for letter writing (formal and informal), articles, speeches, reports, reviews, leaflets to ensure you get marks for setting your text out accurately
- Buy a copy of WJEC revision guide and work through the activities
- Go on BBC Bitesize and complete the writing activities and tests
- Download and print off past Unit 2 papers (H for Higher tier) and complete them timing yourself 1 hour

- Complete character profiles for the main characters
- Go to my An Inspector Calls blog and re-read the activities and ppts
- Go on BBC Bitesize and complete the revision activities on character, plot, themes, context and dramatic effect
- Go to WJEC site and look at the past papers (Unit 2A Higher Tier)
- Print out the extracts for An Inspector Calls and annotate the mood and atmosphere
- Answer the extract questions (10 marks)
- Plan answers for the essay question (20 marks)
- Complete past essays in timed conditions (40 marks)
- Self assess using the mark scheme
- Send essays to me via my school email address
Heroes - how to revise
- Re-read the book. You can listen to an audio version with pictures on Youtube.
- Complete character profiles for the main characters
- Go to my Heroes blog and re-read the activities and ppts
- Go on BBC Bitesize to revise character, plot, themes and the sample question (remember that context is not relevant for our exam)
- Go to WJEC site and look at the past papers (Unit 2A Higher Tier)
- Print out the extracts for Heroes and annotate the mood and atmosphere
- Answer the extract questions (10 marks)
- Plan answers for the essay question (20 marks)
- Complete past essays in timed conditions (40 mins)
- Self assess using the mark scheme
- Send essays to me via my school email address
